Mod notes:

Nov 26/2012

Evening update:

After running all my tests over again, I am now doing a play-through with a new character to see if everything runs as well from a new game as it has in my test games with my mid lvl chars. I will post it as a separate mod with a throwback link to this one. Way to much work to put into a readme, and I've done enough writing for now, at least till after Christmas. I have begun preparing all my release data as well as all my poster work for the new release, want to have it all setup just right. I will definitely link to it from here. Please know that although the esp name is the same it can only be used to upgrade, IF you have not done the quest and completed it, If you have, the new dialogue will be closed off to you, starting a game saved before that time will work, if that is not an option, you will need to uninstall and delete this one, start, save and exit your existing game, then install the new version, which will be available within the next 24 hours or possibly less. Thanks again for your patients.

morning:
I have finished logging all my data and verified the stages, triggers and such. NVEdit scans and corrections show no errors and it appears to be almost ready. I just have to tweak a few things and make sure its balanced according to the quest stages but otherwise, I expect to have it ready for release soon. The bosses are in place, the story set out, some goodies to find, a 5 point perspective story, with references to past and present Fallout games and a little bit of sci-fi (you'll need to find those references). All in all its been both fun and frustrating at times making, but I hope everyone will be pleased with the results. Until then, back to work. A mod made by me, soon to be released in its full state.
Please continue to download this version to get the starter story, just remember it's in a rough state compared to what you'll get with the finished one, but it will get you on your way and start you wondering, while his services still work perfectly. Thanks again for your patients.

Nov 25/21012

Just touching up the triggers and such to make sure all my spawns and encounters occur at the proper times before doing the last of the voicing and lip synch for the closing quest dialogues. I have revised alot of the original lines, re-recording them and re-synching them to make this a much cleaner mod in the final release. Thanks for all your patients.

Progress update:
With all parts but the closing segment of the mod completed and proofed. I have spent the day tweaking and testing. Running the mod in as many variations as possible to make sure I have it all right. I have made additional tweaks to the VBP-Stinger and I hope it will become a weapon of choice for players when it comes to small arms. It still uses the standard 10mm SmG repair and mod upgrades being a slightly varied and improved version. Watch for the soon to come release. Thanks again for your patients.

Here's just one of the things you can expect:

Here is the VBP:

You'll need it with some of the foes you can hope to encounter, this won't be a walk through the park, you'll need to fight for the clues if you want to solve the mystery and reap the rewards. Adding content to area's that needed a reason to be there.

Doing Christmas preps with the family today so just this little update.

Nov. 22/2012.
Progress update: I recently had more spare time then expected and have spent near 16 hour days working to complete the final version of my mod. The quest has been fully expanded to it's full state and 85% has been completed at this point, I will push through the time I still have to complete what I hope will be an enjoyable expansion to the game. I have also used NVEdit to make some corrections both in my mod and in the game itself, for the areas I am using. Due to the large extend of additions, including restoring some cut content to make the story fit, I may release it as a separate mod as the information is to much to fit here with previous changes, requiring a full do-over for my page here and since this one is in a full working state with the first part complete. I am undecided at this point as I am trying to keep focus on what I'm doing with the mod and just wanted to make note of it here. Thanks again for your patients.

Some of the additions to look for in the complete mod.

New modified SmG, with a bit more kick. Higher damage and DPS, more ammo, longer range and some other variations.

The return of a cut NPC and the return of the Fallout2 Fan-fair item, the Red Sector Key Card.

Five player lives have been lost in the production of this mod. :D

Nov. 20/2012.

Progress update:2.50 release is both a full install and update to existing and new users (reference to old versions on esp refers to pre 2.25 versions). I have polished up the character to correct some issues and added some idle chat and other dialogue, to his normal routines and such. Cleaned up the lip synch on a few lines and added some for the idle chatter and such. I will begin expanding on the parts of the quest that have not been added as of yet for the next update with completion of the full mod set for version 3.
Thanks for your patients.

If you have 2.25 just download and install this one, overwriting all files, otherwise just follow the normal method.

My first try at a quest

Leland is an NPC I created for GoodSprings. He wanders near the rear area by the empty trailer, near the graveyard path.
Once you have listened to his story,
he will offer you his services as a merchant and a mechanic.
Repair 100%.
He mainly sells ammo, but does have alternate selections in his wares.
His other wares are appropriate to the game, to stay lore friendly.
He carries 8000 caps and will cycle normally like other merchants.
He has a secret past, one that has yet to unfold.
You'll find some clues and maybe some answers along the way, as I add more quests and content.

*Leland is now in his complete state and I will mainly be focusing on adding quests and story content to him. I do have planned additions to his character through triggered events, but they will be part of the content planned, I will mainly focus on bringing his story and the FNV together into what I hope is a somewhat progressive and challenging series of quests that will entwine with the game story. In order to stay lore friendly I have had to go back as far as Fallout2 for relevant information, hopefully the end result will be both informative and fulfilling to your game.

I hope to add additional content to the character as my knowledge of the GECK improves, for now he is fully working for present release.
I will attempt to look over more information (brains on cool-down atm) and have another add-on to this release in the next month. Gonna take a bit longer to finish working around the family and being closer to Christmas. But I'll see what I can do. :D

Installation (PLEASE DELETE THE PREVIOUS VERSION FIRST as noted at the start.)

Use your NMM to download and install the zip.
Manually, unzip the file and place the esp and sound folder in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\.
